    Welcome to Holly Gordon, DMH

You are probably feeling stuck in some aspect of your life and are looking for help to move toward greater fulfillment in your life. As you look to find a psychotherapist and are uncertain about what to look for, you may wonder, what kind of therapist is best for me? How can I know if this therapist will understand and help me?

Perhaps most important to consider is whether the therapist conveys that they will provide both a safe environment for open discussion and that they will offer new understandings which can lead to the changes you want to make in your life. I am empathic and a clear thinker who will work with you to define your areas of strength and struggle and help you move towards making the changes you want to make.

Please explore my website and contact me if you want to talk further.

Psychotherapy can help you to feel freer, more in control of your life, and more fulfilled in relationships. People seek psychotherapy for many reasons: anxiety, depression, relationship problems or other distress. All these struggles involve a common story: we tend to be a certain way in the world because of feelings we have about ourselves and our relationships.

Psychotherapy provides a safe environment in which to explore these thoughts, feelings and expectations as they show themselves in your struggles in the world and in the therapy relationship. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental and professionally focused environment in which we sort through ways of being that cause suffering, so that you can experience the world differently and behave in different ways. People gain confidence, improve relationships and change repetitive patterns of behavior that cause pain.

I am licensed as a psychologist and have been seeing people in psychotherapy for over 25 years, treating anxiety, depression, relationship problems, work conflicts, body concerns, identity questions and other psychological struggles. I teach and speak extensively and received a national award for teaching.
